Snow Day!

k40dflsnow

Neither snow, nor sleet, nor rain, nor wind, can keep us from our appointed 40 Days for Life prayer vigil at Planned Parenthood.

Counter Protesters

From Mary Lou R.:

“We had two pro-choice women come with pro-choice signs and stand in front of the dentists offices next door to PP.  We must be getting to people.  The funny part was that just as they showed up so did a family of four plus a lady from the Lutheran church in Poulsbo to enhance our troops!!!  Of course, I ended up staying another hour because the Pro-choicers showed up just as I was to leave.  So, I felt that was God saying, “Don’t leave yet.”  Michael went over and took their picture.  I figured I needed to pray for another hour when I saw them show. ”

The “choice” theme, reminds me a another picture that’s going around, seen here.

Rainbow

From Glenn S.:

“The rainbow picture was taken during the first hour or so of the official vigil, shortly after sunrise on Ash Wednesday.  Although, as you can see, it was quite faint, it was a full rainbow.  Much as God’s grace is given to us freely, it is what we do with it that either causes it to fade or to grow in intensity.  The rest of the day was dull and cloudy, but I would not be at all surprised to see an intense double rainbow appear on the final day of the campaign.”

Parking Lot

This morning brought an interesting development. When Michael arrived to the Vigil Site, there were three parked cars in place where people normally stand to pray. This was clearly orchestrated to inhibit our presence in front of Planned Parenthood, and if anything, to get on our nerves.

Don’t let them get what they want! We are there to pray and to hold vigil, not to play games. Despite their best efforts this obstruction by no means inhibits our mission! There is plenty of room for people to stand and pray and hold vigil for the babies in danger of abortion, and the banners have been arranged so that our presence is still visible to passersby.
