Statement of Peace
All Kitsap 40 Days for Life vigil participants agree to comport themselves in the following ways. Those who do not conduct themselves according to these guidelines automatically disassociate themselves from the 40 Days for Life vigil.
I testify to the following:
- I will always pursue peaceful solutions to the violence of abortion when volunteering with the Kitsap 40 Days for Life
- I will show compassion and reflect love to all the abortion clinic employees, volunteers, and customers
- I understand that acting in a violent or harmful manner disassociates myself with the Kitsap 40 Days for Life
- I am in no way associated with the abortion clinic or its affiliates by way of employment, informant, volunteer, client, or otherwise
While standing in the right of way in front of the abortion facility on Riddell Road in East Bremerton:
- I will not block the driveways while standing in the public right of way
- I will not stake signs in the ground of the public right of way
- I will not litter on the city public right of way
- I will closely attend to children I bring to the vigil
- I will not threaten, physically contact, or verbally abuse abortion clinic employees, volunteers, or customers
- I will not vandalize private property
- I will cooperate with local city authorities
- I will not use any signs or messages that have not been approved for use
- I will not display a sign or banner with a graphic image of a killed unborn child if any other vigil participant requests that they not be displayed and will ask newcomers to the vigil if they object to any graphic images under current display
